Hogetsu 浦月 is Kagetsu's mirror in the INDIRECT family: white's second takes the diagonal, black's third drops directly below it — again touching both stones. Together the two openings are the famous 'black wins' of renju; whole books analyse them. White knows this and answers carefully: the fourth stone here caps the long diagonal two steps out, trying to smother the main line before it starts. Find black's fifth anyway — the end that still makes a LIVE three, away from the cap.
