Named after Ants Soosõrv, the ceremony runs: (1) the first player lays one of the 26 openings; (2) the other player may SWAP — take black; (3) white plays move 4 anywhere and declares how many fifth-move proposals (1–8) black must offer; (4) the other player may swap again; (5) black places the proposals — no two symmetrical; (6) white picks one as the real fifth move and immediately plays move 6. Normal renju from there. Your seat is step (3): after Kagetsu, white may place the fourth stone anywhere — but too close helps black's attacks and too far concedes the center. The eight points two intersections from black's first stone are the working distance. Play your fourth on one of them and feel why.
White's fourth move — one of the ringed points.
Finish this step to move on.
